    The Course

An overview of the in-person course.

Started by Course Director Helen Styles in 2017 Singing Strings is a fantastic weekend course for all Suzuki violin, viola and cello students and their parents. It is a place where friendships are made and many families come back every year. As well as "the usual" Suzuki groups we always offer other music-making opportunities and have had a variety of brilliant additional classes over the years including: advanced ensemble, improvisation, choirs, samba and folk. The non-Suzuki classes offered change each year. We are also fortunate to have a venue with lots of outside space for picnics and running about!

    Sing a Song a Day

    Facebook based singing sessions.

In March 2020, when schools went online, Helen and her children started “Sing a Song a Day” a daily live singing session which received a special commendation from the Royal Philharmonic Society for their Inspiration Award. Though we are no longer streaming, you can watch all our previous sessions on catch-up, via the Singing Strings Facebook page.
